The End Of The Social Justice Warriors

March 7, 2019
After the discrediting of the Social Justice Warriors (SJWs), whose failing was that their interest in promoting ‘fairness and equality’ only extended to groups they thought of as victimised minorities and so was really nothing more than the virtue signalling of a self – righteous group, we now have the anti – SJW movement.
This is one of the topics I and my colleagues would like to cover if only we had time to opine on all things worthy of comment. For now I’ll share for readers of this blog, a question I saw on Quora, along with a very good answer, and an even better reponse, adding further criticism of liberal hypocrisy to that answer …

Politically Correct Terminology

August 11, 2016

A lot of people here in Britain, around Europe, in Canada, Australia and in particular in the USA are sich of politically correct censorship of the language we can use and the thoughts we can think. One thing that particularly irks sane people is the question of ‘hate speech’ against Muslims. While the authoritarians and neo – fascists who call themselves left wing, liberal or progressive are hapy to designate even the most reasonable criticism of Islamic communities as ‘hate speech’, they try to browbeat us into accepting that it is OK for extremist Muslim preachers to tell their followers to go out and kill non – Muslims.

There are ways to fight back of course. This message we received recently offers one good example:

Lessons In Liberty For Liberal and Socialist Nazis

August 17, 2015

I get sickened, as I’m sure many of you do, by the self righteous, bigoted posturings of those who identify themselves as ‘liberal’, ‘left wing’, progressive or socialism and yet see nothing contradictory in their calling for the abolition of free speech, the return of censorship and the proscription of certain words or opinions.

Perhaps these liberal fascists find John Stuart Mill’s ideas are more dangerous and subversive that even his contemporaries thought.

Was Mill really so far ahead of his time we have not yet caught up, or do our ‘progressive liberal’ friends want to progress all they way back to the medieval liberalism of The Inquisition, when the elite were at liberty to do WTF they liked because the masses were considered subhuman?

If it is the latter, Mill’s treatise On Liberty (1859) contains some truly revolutionary statements such as: ‘If all mankind minus one, were of one opinion, and only one person were of the contrary opinion, mankind would be no more justified in silencing that one person, than he, if he had the power, would be justified in silencing mankind.’

Everyone allowed their own opinion? He was probably drunk when he wrote that bit.

When Labour elected Ed Miliband as their leader in 2010 it was clear the party had a death wish. The ‘broad church’ Prime Minister Harold Wilson spoke of in the 1960s, the alliance of intellectuals and socially conservative industrial workers who made up the party’s core vote managed to coexist. Then came feminism, politically correct thinking, New Labour factions as the party started to tear itself apart. It looks as if we are in the endgame.

The Worst Tyranny?

August 8, 2015

The Neo Nazis who describe themselves as ‘the progressive left’ or ‘progressive liberals’ seem to think they have a divine right to hurl abuse at anyone who disagrees with them.

“Divine right, Ian, but aren’t they all militant atheists?” You might well ask.

They might reject the God of Abraham (but then so do I and I despise the bastards) but they have turned socialism into a religion, with dogma, creed, a sort of catechism (immigration is good, homosexuality must be praised, science is infallible etc.) And like the tyrants of the medieval Catholic Church, their overweening self – righteousness leads them to assume follower of their faith and its various cults e.g. The Fabian Society) are qualified to instruct the rest of us on how we should organise our lives and what thoughts and attitudes are acceptbable.

Here’s a though on that from one of the twentieth century’s leading libertarian thinkers:

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.”
C.S. Lewis

You’d be surprised (or maybe if you are reading this blog you wouldn’t) how many of the leading left wing intellectuals who are or were members of the Fabian Society have gone of record as saying democracy was obstructive to the socialist agenda and only a benign dictatorship controlled by the financial, commercial and academic elite can solve the world’s problems.

R.I.P. The british Left

May 20, 2015

I keep reading that the Labour leadership campaign is in chaos, seems a bit harsh seeing as they have hrdly started yet, and also that the Liberasl Democrats are falling apart at the seams. This claim has a tad more substance as the front runner for the leadership, Tim Farron has hinted that he wants to drop the Dems and divert to being the liberals with a political philosophy based on classical liberalism.

What we’re really seeing is a fragmentation of the Left.

As Labour under and since Blair, sought to occupy the ground that belongs to the centre right, it triggered a lunge towards authoritarianism and statism by the remaining dyed-in-the-wool Marxists, hence the growth of Greens, extreme socialist groupings and the SNP.

But what most surprised Labour, and the pollsters too, was the volume of traditional working-class votes which went to UKIP in far greater numbers than the kippers had ever gathered from any wavering Tories, presenting a greater threat long term.

As I have been saying in this blog for a long time, politically correct thinking, gay rights and an obsesion with imigration are not vote winners in the streets of Manchester, Leeds, Liverpool, Newcastle, Birmingham, Nottingham and Sheffield. Anyone familiar with those cities does not need me to explain why, anyone who does need me to explain why is never going to understand anyway.

The challenge now for Labour is to define a whole new position, one which can recover those lost working class souls whilst also making the right noises about business, immigration, Europe etc. It looks like an impossible challenge, certainly for any of the current batch of leadership candidate nonentities.

Labour now only exists in the most deprived and under – employed parts of a few major conurbations, it is a party of the depressed inner-cities, no longer a whole nation party, nor even a working-class party. The exit-door beckons – unless Osborne throws them a life-line with his daft ‘city-devolution’ plan – that could guarantee devolved Labour enclaves for a few more decades yet.

As for the Liberals, whether Democrat or not, I suspect their day has gone: people have more feasible choices now for their protest votes and trying to co-exist in the middle-left-ground while being trampled on by both the Tories and Labour is not a healthy place to be.

From the start of the twentieth century to the 1970s the left served us well, then the Labour Party was hijacked by the elitists of the Fabian Society and became the party of lawyers, luvvies and academics while the Lib Dems for a while was an uneasy alliance of libertarians, social democrats and the raffia mafia.

RIP then the british left, what will replace it we cannot tell.

Missing airliner to be used as a bomb? Crazy Conspiracy Theory say US Liberals

March 16, 2014

The thing about lefties in the USA is when they decide hate somebody then no matter what that person says or does it will attract hysterical hate attacks from those neo Nazi ‘liberals’who are in fact anything but liberal. .

One such hate figure is Infowars front man Alex Jones (you may remember his melt down on British television when Piers Morgan said the US should ban civilian gun ownership.) Jones is barking mad, there is no doubt of that, he has no problem expounding theories about Satanist political cliques, The Nephilim returning or Reptillian Alien Shapeshifters running the world. However, he fronts a sort of news channel and not everything he says is crazy.

alex jonesAlex Jones meltdown …

Except to the lefties who might think something is quite reasonable until Jones mentions it and then go into paroxisms of rage about how people should be jailed for spreading conspiracy theories and challenging the official government line.

The latest storm Alex Jones has stirred up concerns the missing Malaysian airlines Boeing 777 that disappeared into the plot of a ten year old television series and was LOST.

Jones is not the first to suggest the missing place might have been hijacked by people planning to pack it with explosives and use it in a terrorist attack. Far eastern politicians, aviation officials and Pentagon military experts have raised the possibility.

When Jones’ picked up the story however, the left went crazy. “Muslim fanatics hijacking planed and flying them into tall buildings in major cities,” they screamed, “What a stupid, racist suggestion. Islam is the religion of peace and no Muslim would ever contemplate doing such a thing.”

Alex Jones was just trying to stir up right wing not jobs by spreading fear and panic about dark skinned people and expounding crazy conspiracy theories that could never really happen, the Twitter feeds raged. What never? Not ever either in future or past? So 9/11 was just a crazy conspiracy theory dreamed up by Alex Jones? Or a false flag operation planned and executed by the US government maybe?

See what happens when people don’t think things through properly.

Brand Plays A Blinder

November 8, 2013

I never thought I’d say this but Russell Brand is playing a blinder. The self proclaimed prolific shagger, official jester to the metrosexual left, quasi – Dickensian cheeky chappie and fan of David Icke has, almost single handedly, made it respectable to dissent from the government line again. He has become a hate figure for both left and right after his outburst against the ineffectual nature of the failed political system, the corporate and scientific hijacking of public debate, government, the legal system, education and the media (the science is never settled guys, not now, not ever, never so shut the fuck up or take your insane cult of Scientism to Crazifornia, the home of post modern idiocy).

Now normally I would rather sup surströmming from a shit shovellers salopette than watch Russell, I don’t think narcissism as comedy is funny, but having pissed off both the left and right simultaneously he must be onto something.

The left are sneering at Brand’s naïveté in wanting to talk about corruption in high places, the unhealthy influence wielded by banks on society and other ‘trivial’ issues instead of understanding that the most important things society has to deal with are gay rights, equality for paedophiles and the scrapping of all immigration controls. The political right are raging that Brand is just another media luvvie playing at being a leftie to get a ride on the politically correct bandwagon.

In fact he is neither, what Russell Brand has been advocating is far more radical, he is talking about real liberalism bordering on anarchy. While the neo Nazis of the Lib Dems, Labour and the Cameronist wing of the Conservatives are talking about authoritarianism disguised with a veneer of political correctness, Brand and conspiracy theorists like David Icke are talking about real genuine individual freedom, the freedom to think for ourselves (and not least the freedom to promote themselves). The kind of freedom that will defend those who oppose uncontrolled immigration against charges of racism, who are against legalising same sex marriage against charges of homophobia (fear of the same thing?) or call for our withdrawal from the EU against accusations of being Little Englanders. A true liberal believes everybody has a right to express their own opinion, rather than just to repeat the opinions approved by the establishment and printed or broadcast by establishment / corporate controlled media.

Though never a fan of fan of the pre – Raphaelite featured comedian I find myself in sympathy with him as he faces hate attacks from all sides. The hate campaign has as always been led by the conformist left whose polemical ravings about Brand’s narcissistic belief that he has the right to speak for the left, yoof, the future, etc., although the traditional right have not been far behind. But Russell Brand has not elected himself, he has been co – opted by default, by the vacuum at the core of British politics. He is speaking for some of the most alienated and disenfranchised groups because, fearful of offending the Politically Correct Thought Police, nobody in the political establishment will step up and speak for them.

In the same way Nigel Farage has become the unofficial and unelected spokesman for the traditional Conservative constituency while George Galloway sometimes acts as the voice of the traditional Labour voter. More mainstream politicians, in their desperation to “engage with minorities” have abandoned the heartlands and are far too ready to dismiss the concerns of white, straight, cultural Christian, middle and working class voters as “bigotry”.

After Brand’s demolition of lefty bully boy Paxman on BBC’s Newsnight, which followed a similar demolition of the cliché spouting presenters of an American political talkshow a few weeks earlier it would be dangerous to assume we have discovered a new political messiah. What Russell Brand has done is expose the intellectually bankruptcy of both left and right, their total inability to propose anything that looks remotely like a solution to our problems (a return to the borrow and spend economics of the past twenty years will only achieve our total enslavement to the Debt Baron Rothschild clan and further austerity will lead to deflation higher unemployment and eventually to more borrowing and our enslavement by the debt barons.

Now someone has stood up and said these things will our political leaders understand they have lost touch with the voters or will they whine wimpishly about how overwhelmingly important it is, compared to trivialities like economics, jobs, ending conflict and shaking off the yoke of the debt barons that we make sure bearded queens in bridal gowns are getting what they want.

Clegg Claims Right To Deny Others Free Speech

November 7, 2013

Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg claims he is entitled to call Tory climate science sceptics “deniers” despite a warning by the government’s chief scientist that it is an “abusive” term.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that while he accepts the advice of Sir Mark Walport, he does not agree with his choice of “verbs, adjectives and nouns”.

The use of the term climate deniers has become increasingly controversial after John Howard, the former Australian Prime Minister, said that the term was used with “malice aforethought” by those who want to silence sceptics.

On Wednesday, Sir Mark told MPs that he was uncomfortable with the term. He said: “As far as possible it is always best to avoid abuse.

A spokesman for the Conservatives said they don’t care what Nick Clegg calls them so long as he does not complain when they call him an ineffectual, woolly brained, hand wringing, limp wristed TWAT.

The Pastor Was Taken Aback

January 12, 2010

As I sat sipping my coffee on Sunday morning, half paying attention to the television talk show The Big Question it became apparent the discussion was getting quite heated and therefore interesting. The show brings people of different religious or secular persuasions together to talk about the issues of the day. Homosexuality and religion, the topic under discussion always gets everyone well wound up.

Eventually as two audience members and a couple of talking heads looked as if they were near coming to blows the presenter, Nicky Campbell, stepped in and to calm things down brought into the discussion a woman pastor from a liberal Christian denomination. She was a sweet, rather shy sort of girl, not at all like The Vicar Of Dibley. Though quite attractive her big eyes and high, arched eyebrows gave her a permanently startled look.

“Where do you stand on the increasingly bitter division among Christians over homosexuality?” Campbell asked her.

“I am often taken aback…” she began.

I hoped for someone to say, “Your private life is your own business love,” but nobody obliged. At least I understood why she looked so startled though.
