Freedom Of Thought And Information: Quotes.

March 22, 2017

If the ruling elites want to establish global control they need to be able to control all information the general population have access to. The idea of controlling information in order to limit the ability to think and develop ideas served Hitler, Stalin, Mao Tse Tung and many other dictators well but was completely exposed by George Orwell in the novel ‘1984’.

In recent decades the technique for controlling thoughts and ideas has been more subtle, but that has not prevented many commentators higlighting what is going on.

“If those in charge of our society – politicians, corporate executives, and owners of press and television – can dominate our ideas, they will be secure in their power. They will not need soldiers patrolling the streets. We will control ourselves.” — Howard Zinn, historian and author

“The corporate grip on opinion in the United States is one of the wonders of the Western world. No First World country has ever managed to eliminate so entirely from its media all objectivity” – much less dissent. Gore Vidal

“Understand that all battles are waged on an unconscious level before they are begun on the conscious one, and this battle is no different. The power structure wishes us to believe that the only options available are those which they present to us, we know this is simply not true.” – Teresa Stover

“People in the West need to understand that if the news they receive bears on the interests of the US military/security complex, the news is scripted by the CIA. The CIA serves its interests, not the interests of the American people or the interests of peace.” – Paul Craig Roberts

In the years the USA could claim with some credibility to be the only global superpower, the elites managed to gain control of print and broadcast media throughout the developed world. Unfortunately the technology developed as a tool to to enhance the ability of the elite to control information while maintaining the illusion of freedom, The Internet, backfired on them. The General public forever despised by intellectuals and derided by the elite and the media proved to be a lot more intelligent and adaptable than ‘the controllers’ suspected.

How Trump Has Rewritten The Rules – Tim Montgomerie

January 22, 2017

Tim Montgomerie is a British journalis and blogger best known outside the news industry and politics for founding the Conservative Home blog. In spire of what some people may choose to believe, this blog is not run by conservatives (we’re not Labour supporters either) but we want to share an excellent article from Mr. Montgomerie which puts the Trump phenemenon in perspective vis – a – vis globalism and the rampant authoritarianism of the ‘left’.

How Trump has rewritten the political rules

By

Tim Montgomerie spent much of the past year in the United States covering one of the most extraordinary presidential elections in history. This is the second in a three-part series, summarising what he learned. (The first part can be found here.)

The weaknesses of the mainstream American media have reached a critical, democracy-endangering stage

The mainstream media plays a vital role in democracy. It educates the public about what politicians are doing (and not doing). And almost as importantly, it educates politicians about what is happening in the country they seek to serve, and what they might be missing.

But for year after year, in this age of hugely disruptive internet-based competition, the mainstream media – especially what online insurgents call the “dead tree press” – has been in a fight for its economic survival. Newsrooms have shrunk as reporters have been fired to cut costs, and it’s often the higher-paid and more experienced reporters who get dropped first. Some of the best journalism has become hidden behind paywalls.

At the same time, the tendency of media organisations based in New York and Los Angeles – both bastions of liberal leftism – to employ like-minded people has accelerated. Hard data about the ideological composition of newsrooms is difficult to come by, but research during the recent campaign by the Center for Public Integrity found that 96 per cent of political donations by journalists were to the Clinton campaign.

The executive editor of The New York Times recently admitted that “we don’t get religion”. Not getting religion in one of the most religious nations on earth is not a minor journalistic failing. And what about not getting people with guns, or people who work in coalmining, or veterans who’ve served in the military?

Some newsrooms have been so busy recruiting more women and ethnic minorities – very correctly – that they have forgotten other forms of diversity which ensure that groupthink doesn’t compromise editorial decisions. The result is the equivalent, if we were to put it into a British context, of an editorial conference full of Remainers: they can try their best to reflect the views of the rest of the nation, but it won’t be easy or complete. On top of which, such journalists often choose to think the worst of people they don’t naturally agree with, or even mix with. This is one reason why wanting your country to govern itself – the dominant motivation of Leavers in the UK – is regularly and disproportionately portrayed as racist or xenophobic.

These two key trends, of tough revenue models and ideologically monochrome newsrooms, have reached a point in America (and the London-based media may not be so very far behind) where the press can’t afford to do its work of reporting the nation – a nation which it doesn’t even know half of as well as it should.

An environment is created where large numbers of voters stop trusting the media and choose instead to read fringe alternatives: the Age of Breitbart.

‘Liar, liar, liar’ turns into ‘Yawn, yawn, yawn’

One of my favourite moments during the confirmation hearings now taking place on Capitol Hill (and I know I shouldn’t laugh) was when Rex Tillerson, the ex-Exxon chief, friend of Vlad-the-Bad and nominee for Secretary of State, was asked by one Senator about lobbying against sanctions on Russia by the company he ran until very recently.

Tillerson, wearing a face as straight as a pipeline, replied by saying that he had not been aware of any lobbying. Er, said Senator Corker, the foreign affairs committee chairman, I remember you lobbying me at the time. Read more >>>

Germany’s Der Spiegel Say Political Correctness Has backfired On America

January 6, 2017

from Der Spiegel International

It’s a Friday afternoon in Oberlin, Ohio, around one month before the country heads to the polls to elect Donald Trump as its next president. The final classes and lectures of the week have just ended, and a young woman comes walking by in bare feet with a hula hoop gyrating around her waist while others are performing what seems to be a rhythmic dance to the African music that’s playing. Two black students are rapping.

It’s the kind of scene that could easily play out on a beach full of backpack tourists, but this is unfolding at one of the country’s most expensive universities.

Many female students here have dyed their hair green or blue, they have piercings and their fashion sense seems inspired by “Girls” creator and millennial star Lena Dunham, who, of course, also studied here.

In such a setting, it seems almost inconceivable that this country could go on to elect Donald Trump as its president only a few weeks later. Yet pro-Trump country is just a few miles away. Oberlin is located in Ohio, one of the swing states that made Trump’s election possible. Drive five miles down College Road toward town, and you start seeing blue “Trump Pence 2016” signs on people’s lawns.

Places like Oberlin are the breeding grounds of the leftist elite Trump’s people spoke so disparagingly of during the election campaign.

Only a few months earlier, a handful of students claimed they had been traumatized after someone used chalk to scrawl “Trump 2016” on the walls of buildings and on sidewalks at Oberlin and at other liberal universities. It triggered protests on some campuses, with students demanding “safe space” where they would be spared from hearing or seeing the name of this “fascist, racist candidate.”

In the months prior to the election, “safe spaces” had been one of the most widely discussed terms at Oberlin. The concept has its roots in feminism and describes a physically and intellectually sheltered space that protects one from potentially insulting, injurious or traumatizing ideas or comments — a place, in short, that protects one from the world. When conservative philosopher and feminism critic Christina Hoff Sommers was scheduled to give a speech at Oberlin last year, some students did not approve and claimed that Sommer’s views on feminism represented “microaggressions.”

When Sommers appeared anyway, leading some Oberlin students to create a “safe space” during the speech where, as one professor reported, “New Age music” was played to calm their nerves and ease their trauma. They could also “get massages and console themselves with stuffed animals.”

When The Caring, Sharing Culture Goes Too Far

May 31, 2015

STIs soar in USA with gonorrhea up 30%, HIV infections up by 33%, and syphilis soaring a shocking 79% in the last year alone.

Not so long ago american liberals were proclaiming that the Obama administration had ushered in a new era of enlightened living by embracing the ideas of free love and a caring, sharing society that originated in California’s hippy culture in the 1960.

While the idea that everyone giving everything away for free was hardly likely to produce a strong economy, pragmatism aside there are just some things caring people should not share.

A report by the Rhode Island Department of Health reveals one of the big problems with the caring, sharing, giving it away for free culture. Sexually transmitted diseases are on the rise in the USA, with health officials highlighting casual sex arranged through social media as one of the main factors in this. One official described it as the “perfect veneral storm storm,” with gonorrhea up 30%, HIV infections up by 33%, and syphilis soaring a shocking 79% in the last year alone.

The report notes that “new cases of HIV and syphilis continued to increase among gay, bisexual, and other men who have sex with men at a faster rate than in other populations,” adding that “infection rates of all STDs continued to have a greater impact on the African-American, Hispanic, and young adult populations.”

Rhode Island is just one small state on the East Coast, but the trend is nationwide. An STD clinic in Salt Lake County, Utah, has started asking patients about specific contact methods. When the number of people arranging sexual liaisons devoid of emotional connection through social media became apparent, Lynn Beltran, an epidemiologist at the clinic, told ABC she was not surprised to see a rise in STDs.

“It’s been the perfect storm,” said Beltran. “Our attitude kind of shifted, where it became more acceptable to engage in casual sex.”

Beltran said she had seen an uptick in syphilis and gonorrhea rates, and that many of the newly diagnosed patients said they were sexually active through dating apps.

Just as an aside …

Q: What’s dangerous and eats nuts?
A: Syphilis.

The Rhode Island report raised another interesting point. Between 2003 and 2009, when prostitution wasn’t illegal in Rhode Island due to a clerical error, the state registered a 39-percent decrease in gonorrhea infections among women. Well when a business is charging for its products or services, there are certain trading standards that must be adhered too, for example customers have a right to know exactly what they will get for their money.

What is wrong with people in the USA. I’m not narrow minded and I would be a hypocrite if I condemned casual sex, but FFS why can’t people use condoms when they are meeting up with a total stranger from out of town. It ought to be a no brainer. Why would someone who has a dose spread it in their own community where people might recognise them when they can with almost complete anonymity ‘share it’ on Facebook.

China State Paper Warns of War Unless US Backs Down

May 26, 2015

Well you can’t say I have not tried to warn you which nation posed the greatest threat to world peace (and no, Obama worshippers, it’s not China but the one lead by the failed aquatic pedestrian, peacemaker and joybringer with jug ears) …

from Information Clearing House

A Chinese state-owned newspaper, GMA News of BEIJING said on Monday that “war is inevitable” between China and the United States over the South China Sea unless Washington stops demanding Beijing halt the building of artificial islands in the disputed waterway.

The Global Times, an influential nationalist tabloid owned by the ruling Communist Party’s official newspaper the People’s Daily, said in an editorial that China was determined to finish its construction work, calling it the country’s “most important bottom line.”

The editorial comes amid rising tensions over China’s land reclamation in the Spratly archipelago of the South China Sea. China last week said it was “strongly dissatisfied” after a US spy plane flew over areas near the reefs, with both sides accusing each other of stoking instability.

China should “carefully prepare” for the possibility of a conflict with the United States, the newspaper said.

“If the United States’ bottomline is that China has to halt its activities, then a US-China war is inevitable in the South China Sea,” the newspaper said. “The intensity of the conflict will be higher than what people usually think of as ‘friction’.”

Such commentaries are not official policy statements, but are sometimes read as a reflection of government thinking. The Global Times is among China’s most nationalist newspapers.

Emergency Powers Give Barack Obama Authority Over Just About Everything During A Major National Crisis

Thanks to dozens of new laws, regulations, court decisions and executive orders, Barack Obama is the most powerful president in all of U.S. history. Of course the U.S. Constitution does not actually give the president any special powers during a time of national emergency, but over time presidents have decided that they should be able to exercise such powers …

Shock! Horror! Politician Does His Job.

May 19, 2015

Reams has been written here about the evil twins of ‘free’ trade agreements (free in the sense they will relieve global corporations from the tiresome obligation to obey national law), sometimes we think we are winning then the bureaucracies pushing global fascism hit back.

Perhaps the creepiest thing about TPP and TTIP is that they have been negotiated in secret by EU and US bureaucrats and lawyers and even our elected representatives have not been allowed to read the draft versions.

It is uplifting however to hear of a politician who has not only defied his government by reading on of the treaties but has thrown down the gauntlet and challenged the Obama administration to prosecute him by defying an order that the contents must in no circumstances be made known to the public.

from TruthOut.org

Senator Reads the TPP and Exposes Its Contents

Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL) is one of the few members of Congress who has taken the time to jump through the hoops and read the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). But, he has gone a step farther than other members – he told members of Congress what he read. He told the truth about what the TPP says and why Congress should oppose it in a five page letter to his colleagues.

Sessions’ action flies in the face of the threats made by the US Trade Representative to prosecute elected officials who tell people what is in the trade agreement. Others should follow his example and get out the truth about the TPP.

The debate in the Senate begins on Tuesday, May 19. This is an opportunity for Senators to tell their colleagues the truth about what is in the TPP. Sessions’ “Dear Colleague” letter was leaked and reported in Breitbart. Senators from both parties may want to take a similar approach. Even better, during the debate on the Senate floor there will be an opportunity for amendments that expose problems with the TPP. Senators can tell their colleagues and, through C-SPAN, their constituents the truth about what is in the TPP.

How Senator Sessions Exposed the Truth About TPP

Breitbart has written two articles on Sessions’ revelations. In “Critical Alert: Jeff Sessions Warns America Against Potentially Disastrous Obama Trade Deal,” they report: READ FULL ARTICLE

US Government Advisor Warned He Could Be Jailed For Revealing Content Of TPP.

via Zero Hedge
From Michael Wessel, first posted in Politico:

I’ve Read Obama’s Secret Trade Deal. Elizabeth Warren Is Right to Be Concerned.

“You need to tell me what’s wrong with this trade agreement, not one that was passed 25 years ago,” a frustrated President Barack Obama recently complained about criticisms of the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP). He’s right. The public criticisms of the TPP have been vague. That’s by design—anyone who has read the text of the agreement could be jailed for disclosing its contents. I’ve actually read the TPP text provided to the government’s own advisors, and I’ve given the president an earful about how this trade deal will damage this nation. But I can’t share my criticisms with you.

I can tell you that Elizabeth Warren is right about her criticism of the trade deal. We should be very concerned about what’s hidden in this trade deal—and particularly how the Obama administration is keeping information secret even from those of us who are supposed to provide advice.

So-called “cleared advisors” like me are prohibited from sharing publicly the criticisms we’ve lodged about specific proposals and approaches. The government has created a perfect Catch 22: The law prohibits us from talking about the specifics of what we’ve seen, allowing the president to criticize us for not being specific. Instead of simply admitting that he disagrees with me—and with many other cleared advisors—about the merits of the TPP, the president instead pretends that our specific, pointed criticisms don’t exist. Mainstream Media Myths and The Power Of Belief

November 17, 2014

by Simon Black via Zero Hedge,
(in reading this article you have to adjust specifically American reference to fit the current state of the EU, but all the points made apply equally to this side of The Atlantic)
Years ago, an elderly, frail Japanese martial arts master once boasted a 200-0 record against his opponents.

He claimed to have a unique power that allowed him to inflict serious injury on people without actually laying a finger on them.

Was it Chi? Magic? None of the above. It was a total scam. But that didn’t matter.

You see, the legend of the master’s powers turned out to be far more powerful than reality.

His core following of students believed in the master so much that they would fling themselves across the dojo whenever he raised his pinky finger.

And anyone who saw the display would become transfixed by the perception of the master’s extraordinary abilities. It was an incredible case of mass delusion.

Everyone believed it, including the master himself. He was so confident in his skills that he put up a $5,000 challenge that he could beat any fighter in the world.

A mixed martial arts champion accepted the wager, and the result wasn’t pretty. As you can see in the video (below), the master is quickly knocked to the ground with a broken nose and a pool of blood.

You can almost hear the sound of reality quickly taking hold from the gasps of his students. No one could bring themselves to believe that the master had been so quickly beaten.

To an outsider, it seems so obvious that this guy is a phony (just watch the video). But mass delusion is an incredibly powerful force.

We see the same effects in the West today—mass delusions everywhere.

People seem to believe their governments are almighty beings capable of performing magic—water into wine, debt into wealth.

Here are some of the biggest myths we see in the system today:

1. The dollar will continue to be the dominant currency.

This is a total farce. Grumblings grow louder around the world to establish a new non-dollar financial system, and China has taken the lead to make this a reality.

2. The US is still the dominant military power in the world.

If you measure by the quality of trained personnel, this is true. But what good is all of that military power if you can’t afford to do anything with it?

3. The police exist to protect the people.

Wrong again. With so much civil asset forfeiture taking place at the point of a gun (federally funded assault rifles), it’s clear they’re far more concerned about protecting those that maintain the status quo than protecting you.

4. Elections make a difference

Completely false. Most Western governments borrow money to pay interest on the money they’ve already borrowed.

In the US, they spend so much on mandatory entitlements and interest they could eliminate almost the entire government and still not run a balanced budget.

At that level of desperation, it matters not who’s in power.

5. Your bank is safe

Your bank might HAVE a safe. But if you look at objective data, many banks in the West have incredibly thin levels of capital and liquidity—the exact opposite of what a safe bank is supposed to have.

Oh yeah, they’re backed by poorly capitalized deposit insurance funds, which are guaranteed by insolvent governments.

And bear in mind that even if your bank is reasonably capitalized, you are still guaranteed to lose money on a tax adjusted, inflation adjusted basis if you you’re holding your savings there.

6. You have to go to college in order to get ahead

Quite the opposite—going to college in many cases can get you behind; just ask any 36-year old still paying down that $100,000 student loan debt.

The world is a big place full of opportunity. Skills and experience matter more than pieces of paper.

Here’s a better option, especially for young people: head overseas, and become an apprentice to a successful, knowledgeable individual that you respect.

Any young person who thinks that going to college is a good idea should just ask any of their unemployed friends saddled with $100,000 of debt if it was worth it.

7. I saw it on TV so it must be true.

Ufff. The mainstream media exist to paint a distorted version of reality so that people are kept placated, docile and largely clueless about what really goes on in the world.

8. Debt doesn’t matter because we owe it to ourselves

Whoever first said this must have a lot of whips and chains in his closet because he seems to enjoy pain.

If we owe the debt to ‘ourselves,’ that means that we will need to default on ourselves.

This means no more Social Security, Medicare, etc. It means causing the US Federal Reserve to become insolvent and spark a currency crisis. It means causing the collapse of every bank in the country.

Sure, no biggie.

9. The United States is the Land of the Free

Draconian surveillance efforts on its citizens. Punitive taxes, fines and regulation. Rising police state. Telling people what they can or can’t put in their bodies, how to grow their food, who to adore, who to hate. Preventing them to collect their own rainwater and live off the grid.

So Who Practices The Politics Of Evil

November 9, 2014

I’m always gobsmacked at the number of UKIP Haters and Leftie Screechers in blogs and comment threads (mostly comment threads ~ left wing bloggers usually tent to have a little more intelligence) who insist on comparing UKIP to that American phenomenon The Tea Party, a phemonenon because while it does not actually exist as a political organisation in the way that our Labour, Conservative, UKIP, SNP and Green Parties exist (I don’t think we have any other true political parties :> ) the Tea Party holds a powerful grip on the left wing mindset.

Tea Party this, Tea Party that, these distinctly unoriginal thinkers grizzle, echoing each other until Owen Jones dictates the next meme for them. The strange thing is, these people, like America’s illiberal and intolerant ‘liberals’ are quite convinced their autoritarian ideology represents all that is good and just in society and set themselves up as defenders of the freedoms of anointed minorities while damning mainsteam society.

Let’s take a look at how American democrats, having hypocritically accused Republicans (referred to as The Tea Party) of electoral fraud, terrorism, anarchism and arson (?) for the crime of opposing the ‘liberal’ agenda, have been caught red handed promoting the politics of hate, printing lies about opponents (we know all politicians tell lies, by lying about opponents personal lives in print is so utterly beyond stupid only self righteouss zealots would try it) and committing blatant electoral fraud themselves. To set the scene take a look at this snippet from online news site the ironically named TPNN, which reports on the battle on Taxas between whhelchair bound Republican Greg Abbott and his Democrat opponent Wendy Davis, nicknamed Abortion barbie for her plastic looking fearures and obsession with pushing abortion as the preferred means of birth control:

“Democrat Wendy Davis’s empty wheelchair ad against her disabled Republican opponent, Greg Abbott, represented a new low in gutter politics. Davis even doubled down on her despicable ad, even defending it in the face of extreme bipartisan criticism.

“As bad as Abortion Barbie’s ad is, she may have just outdone herself with this tweet from her official Twitter account on Monday, which accuses Greg Abbott as being against interracial marriage, an obvious desperate ploy to deceive minorities into voting for her.

“But there’s just one tiny, little problem which annihilates Davis’s charge. Abbott’s wife, Cecilia, is of Hispanic heritage, the granddaughter of immigrants from Mexico. Abbott IS in an interracial marriage, and Davis knows it.

GOTCHA!

The next story is from my fiend, US Political journalist Renee Nal, look at it and ask yourselves can the people who attempt such things be sane:]

“After being accused of “photoshopping” the featured image which illustrates that newly-elected Governor Greg Abbott’s name was missing from a voting machine in Bexar County, Texas, San Antonio voter Jade Stanford is vindicated, as reported at MySanAntonio

“Bexar County also made the news after Democratic Party Chairman Manuel Medina admitted to creating a political ad referring to the Tea Party as “radical terrorists.

“Medina, of course, is only following in the footsteps of prominent Democrats who have referred to the Tea Party as radicals, anarchists, extremists, terrorists, unbiblical, legislative arsonists, committing jihad, have bombs strapped to their chests, committing extortion, taking hostages, want to “tear down the house our founders built,” want to “blow up the global economy,” and are “holding a gun to the head of Americans.”

“As reported at the Brenner Brief, voting machines across America experienced “calibration” issues which changed Republican votes to the respective Democrat candidates across the country. In tight races in particular, a few faulty machines could sway an election.”

Lefties get clobbered again? Hysterical

November 8, 2014
Guardian columnist Jessica Valenti – smiling or preparing to bit the balls off a conservative male?

A blogger who is probably the most stupid leftie in this community once asked me did I know what ‘hysterical’ meant. Well he might like to brag about his educational qualifications but I’m the one who went to a really posh school and so is well acquainted with Latin and Greek. So I am aware that in the era of Hippocrates, the founder of scientific healing in the fifth century BC it refers to a disturbance of the womb. That was then, this is now however and colloquially in the twenty first century, hysteria means an extreme emotional disturbance.

For the sake of stupid lefties who assume that because I do not agree with their crackpot, collectivist political theories I cannot possibly have had a decent education, in this blog post the words hysteria and hysterical are used in the modern colloquial sense.

Left-Wing Hysteria Reaches New Heights as Jessica Valenti Claims ALL Republican Women Are ‘Anti-Woman’

The triumph of Republican Party candidates in the US Midterm Elections last tuesday has really caused the lefties to get their knickers in a twist. Our home – grown crop of Marxist idiots are even more hysterical about it than they were about UKIP pummeling the LabLibConsensus in the European Parliament elections.

Lefties of course can never quite believe that any intelligent people could disagree with their political pronouncements which really are based on economic and social policies that first failed in the 1920s and have failed in every decade since.

Thus left wing blogger Sunny Hundal (who is funnier that Frankie Boyle and all the fat, ageing, bald ex-comedians and token women on Mock The Week put together (only Sunny does not see the comedy in his babblings) took the opportunity to show what an utter arse he really is on the Daily Politics. He tried to belittle The Republican victory the by claiming the they only won because they got more supporters to the ballot box. He’s right of course, what’s funny is for all his claimed political expertise and intellectual superiority he does not understand that’s how elections work in a democracy.

The Guardian’s wankerati chipped in to the general hilarity. Jessica Valenti’s column went off on one over Republican women who are, in her words, “anti-woman”.

“Under normal circumstances, a triumphant woman standing behind a podium giving a political victory speech would thrill me to the core. After all, what feminist worth her salt doesn’t like to see a woman win an election?” Valenti stormed.

To Obamessiah worshipping American women and the pussy whippes sissies who agre with them out of fear, absolutely everything is about the right of women to abort their foetuses (modern colloquial usage again) any time up to 974 weeks into the pregnancy (think about it).

“When the winner is a Republican being a woman does not count – because your gender doesn’t make you pro-woman, your actions do. And the Republican party is not just anti-“women’s issues”; it is anti-woman,” Valenti raved.

She continued; “What I’d really like is for every elected woman Republican to explain to a room full of non-rich, non-white women why restricting abortion rights is a good use of our government’s time and energy, to tell them why their birth control isn’t a real medical need, and to discuss how women don’t really need equal pay or a fair wage because they need “real” choices.”

Honsetly, to hear or read these stupid bitches, one would think late term abortion is the only form of birth control available in the USA.

Such is her loathing for Republican women, who she clearly sees as quislings of the worst order, Valenti proffers the worst insult she can think of. To Valenti, female Republicans are worse than men. Well Democrat men are all girlie-men so I suppose she sort of have a point.

“In a way, female Republicans almost bother me more than their male counterparts. I can almost understand why a bunch of rich, religiously conservative white men wouldn’t care about the reality of women’s day-to-day lives – they’ve never had to. But throwing other women under the bus? For what? Lower taxes? Three minutes on Fox News in the 3pm hour? It makes me wonder what is wrong with you.”

I love the glib assumption that all the millions of black, hispanic and white working class males who voted Repubican because they believed there might be a better chance of getting a decent job, lower taxes so they can hope to pay down their debts, or they did not want their sons and daughters to die fighting The Rent Boy President’s illegal, ego driven wars, were on their way to the voting station, somehow transformed into right, religiously conservative white men.

But as I have said many times, clear, logical thinking is not a prominent item of lefties list of desirable personal qualities. In fact it come lower that tolerance, and a willingness to consider opposing views.

Death Of Democracy: Why We Can’t Get The Government We Deserve And Vote For.
In every election campaign, in the UK, USA, Canada, Germany, France etc. politicians spout about delivering ‘change’. And yet every government we elect, no matter what label they wear or what coulour the use on campaign materials, seems just the same as the last, making the same promises and mistakes. Ever wondered why?

Now Things Are Starting To Make Sense

July 26, 2014

It is now known that the uprising in Ukraine early this year that saw the elected government, which was cooperating far too well with Russia for the liking of the western powers overthrown and replaced by a US and EU sponsored gaggle of gangsters, thugs and neo – fascists whose task was to serve western interests rather than those of Ukraine’s population.

Many commentators have suggested that if we join up the dots the picture that emerges reveals a push by powerful interests to establish a USA led global hegemony. And when we look at regime change wars and civil unrest in other countries the screams of “conspiracy theory” from those who yearn to live under a global totalitarian government take on a hollow tone.

Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and Ukraine have all been destabilised by international action led by the United States. Libya, Iraq and Syria all have oil So how do Afghanistan and Ukraine fit in.

Afghanistan is the key to opening a pipeline route from the Caspian and former Soviet Republics in central Asia to the Indian Ocean. And there are rumours of possible untapped oil and gas reserves in Afghan teritory.

Ukraines strategic location on the pipeline routes from oil and gas fields in the Caucasus and around The Caspian Sea into Europe. And then there’s this:

from zero hedge
Company In Which US Vice President Joe Biden’s Son Is Director Prepares To Drill Shale Gas In East Ukraine

Recall what we said earlier today: the proxy war Ukraine conflict, just like that in Syria preceding it, “is all about energy.” Recall also the following chart showing Ukraine’s shale gas deposits, keeping in mind that the Dnieper-Donets basin accounts for approximately 90 per cent of Ukrainian production. Finally, recall our story from May that Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, just joined the board of the largest Ukraine gas producer Burisma Holdings. Now put it all together and you will like figure out what will happen next.

Well maybe not what will happen next but certainly why the USA is so desperate to drive a wedge between Russia and Europe and to demonise Vladimir Putin while in the same move gaining control of Ukraine’s oil and gas reserves. And that offers some insight into why Obama was on TV blaming pro Russian separatists for downing Malaysia Airlines flight MH17 almost before it was hit.

It also demonstrates that the pro EU Ukrainian government and western interests had a lot to gain from politicising such an outrage. So ignoring any outbursts from certain Professorial pricks who can’t understand that when I said there was no evidence last Thursday that the separatists were responsible that is not the same as saying the separatists were not responsible or that somebody else was.

I know it is incomprehensible to childbrains who try and give their words authority by announcing “I’m a scientist”, or “I work in a university”, but in the real world there are often more than two possible answers to a question. (Actually I can truthfully say I have worked in three universities, Manchester, Liverpool and Corpus Christi, Cambridge; IT consultants get around.)

And so sensible people take a step back and wait for the details to emerge before jumping to conclusions. We’re still waiting.
